1. Differentiate your brand to stand out from your competitors

2. Ensure your site is search engine-friendly – use key words in headings, sub-headings and text

3. Build authority by building links with popular, more authoritative sites

4. Boost your online mentions and site traffic by signing-up to “free link” sites

5. Write and post articles online to boost online brand mentions and links

6. Build a blog on your site, discussing things which typify your brand. Extend it to major blogging sites such as www.technorati.com

7. Join key social networking sites, such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
